Questions from grown-ups

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay £5 once and get all 12 packs. We never charge you again, and there's nothing to cancel.

What happens after the 12 weeks?

That's the end of your club - there's nothing to cancel. When we have a new collection of mysteries ready, we'll tell you about it near the end of your 12 weeks (unless you've asked us not to), and it's up to you whether to carry on.

When do the packs arrive?

Week 1 comes by email within a few minutes of joining. After that a new pack arrives every Thursday at 7am - so you can print it, at home or at work, and read it through before Friday - until you've had all 12.

What do I need?

A printer, A4 paper and some pencils. Colour printing looks best. A few craft pages need scissors and glue - please help younger detectives with those.

What ages is it for?

Detectives aged about 5 to 8. Younger ones enjoy it with a grown-up reading along; older ones can crack most cases on their own.

Can I give it as a gift?

Yes. Tell us their grown-up's email address and when it should start - Christmas morning, if you like - and you'll get a printable gift card for the stocking. The packs go to them by email, a new one every Thursday, ready for Friday. Give the club.

Can I print more than one copy?

Yes. Print as many as your household needs, so brothers and sisters can each have a go. Please don't share the files outside your home.

What if an email doesn't arrive?

Have a look in your spam or promotions folder first. If it isn't there, email [email protected] and we'll send it again.

Can I get a refund?

Week 1 is sent straight away, so the usual 14-day right to cancel ends once it's sent - we ask you to agree to this when you join. If a pack is faulty or doesn't arrive, we'll put it right or refund you. The details are in our Terms of sale.

What do you know about my child?

Nothing. We only ask for a grown-up's email address. Names go on the paper certificate, never on our website.

Who runs the Friday Mystery Club?

Friday Mystery Club is a trading name of Stoneledger Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17481774).
